Urban Decay 15 Year Anniversary Palette Review

Okay, so to start off I was super excited when I finally got this in the mail. My fiance got it for me as a gift and shipped it to me, he knows how much I wanted it and given the circumstances I didn't have the funds to afford it. So how sweet is that? Anyhow, what I liked about this palette right away is that is has one row of natural colours  (Midnight Rodeo, Midnight 15, Vanilla, Flow, and Chase) I LOVE Midnight 15 for a highlighter in the corner of my eye.

So to continue on, when I saw this I literally squealed inside. I mean, I have never seen an item before and KNEW I had to have it. Especially for my first high end item. For those that know me, I shop makeup on a budget at the moment which can lead to awesome finds. However, when I saw this I knew it had to be mine. And I suppose my fiance knew that too.

Also, I heard that there were a lot of complaints about the packaging. I honestly do not see why. The metallic cover with the UD in a gem setting in the middle, the framing of the lid almost like vines. I mean, yeah chances are its prone to getting dirty. But the packaging doesn't determine the product itself and how it works. So to whoever sent it back, I think its there loss. Now on the inside where the product rests, the packing is similar to the lid except for the difference that instead of being metallic silver it is metallic purple. Which is LOVE.

ANYWAY, as mentioned this is my first urban decay product and let me put it to you this way..... HUZZAHHHHHH!!!!! This palette has amazing colour pay off, you don't need that much product at all. The colour range is awesome for those who like that natural appeal and good for those who like to play with a little colour. I did swatch a few colours but the images seemed to have disappeared, I think I deleted them by accident. But they are as they are represented on the packaging on the page where it shows the colours and the info.

So overall I think this product deserves a 10/10 & 6 out of 5 Gold Stars. Its more then I dreamed it would be, even with all the harsh reviews I wanted it to see for myself and it was WELL WORTH THE WAIT. So if you have the opportunity to pick this bad boy up, DO IT! I promise you will not be disappointed.

HAPPY 15TH BIRTHDAY URBAN DECAY!!!!!

Upcoming Blogs and Looks

Sorry I haven't posted anything for the last few days, I've been sick with a cold. Which is why I haven't been doing any videos or anything. So, I figured I would take the time to update on what will be coming up ASAP on my blog. So, here I go.

I was peeking around the Urban Decay website since I got my 15 Year Anniversary Palette in the mail today and wanted to check out some look possibilities. So, I got this idea of doing a Urban Decay series of there looks using more affordable items because not everyone can afford em and still like the looks. (Review on the Palette is a planned video)

So anyway, I hope on starting the videos tomorrow. I've been in bed trying to get over this darn cold to get back to my videos. Which I hope you guys will like, and yeahhhh. I guess that's all I have to report today.

Going Cruelty Free MY Choice, Not Yours? That's Okay.

Cute Bunneh!! I Shall Call Him Pancakes!!

Okay so since about last year I have decided to start using cruelty free cosmetics. And since then have only bought makeup that is cruelty free. However, I do still have some items here and there that are not. The reason for me having these items is because I don’t want to throw out items that are fairly new, and I don’t have the cash to replace it at the moment. I personally do not think this is wrong, a lot of other people who switch to cruelty free go through this process. I no longer purchase from these brands, because they might test on animals or I have not been able to find out for sure.

This is a personal choice of mine, I don’t shove my opinion down peoples throats simply because I don’t like it when people do that to me. I went cruelty free because I personally think that its wrong to test a makeup product on animals. I believe if its for people to wear that’s who should test it. But anyway, I am a HUGE animal lover. When I was younger I lived in a neighbourhood where there were a lot of stray cats. I would catch them and take care of them until I could find a cat rescue to take them in and find them homes. To me, animals are like people. They have feelings, they feel pain. But they don’t have a voice, so I think its wrong that possible hurtful products are tested on them.

So, thus began my journey on being cruelty free when it comes to cosmetics. It might take some more research when it comes to the products I buy, but its worth it to me in the long run. I don’t try to brainwash people into going cruelty free. It is a personal choice and I don’t look down at people who don’t shop cruelty free.

Some companies might be cruelty free, but there partner company does not. I know a lot of people on you tube who will not buy from either. I’m not like that. I will buy from the brand that is branched off that does not test on animals. If those particular products are not tested, I don’t have a problem with that. Because chances are the items from the other company that DO test on animals, I can find the same or similar products from another company that does not test on animals. Some of the cruelty free people on you tube might find me hypocritical because of that, but as I’ve mentioned its my choice.

So below I will include a list of high end and low end brands that are cruelty free. Chances are you’ve heard of some of them and yeah…. See ya in my next post.

Tarte, Urban Decay, Korres, Pop Beauty, Kat Von D, Smashbox, Too Faced, Make Up For Ever, Lorac, Stila, Bare Escentuals, Josie Maran, Bobbi Brown, Hourglass, Clinique, Illamasqua, Dior, Chanel all do not test on animals, do not use ingredients that have been tested, do not hire other companies to test for them and are not owned by larger companies who test. Many of their products are even completely vegan. All of these are available at Sephora.

Low End and Drugstore Brands

ELF (EyesLipsFace)
Hard Candy
Revlon
WetNWild

Anyway, those are just a few off the top of my head. They mostly stuck out because they are either brands that I like, or use personally. And yeah so I hope this was helpful and hope you will comment.

Byeeeeee.

Neutrogena Skincare Review

Products Being Reviewed Are:
Oil Free Moisture for Sensitive Skin and Fresh Foaming Cleanser

So about a week ago I got the moisturizer first because I couldn't find mine. Which originally was the St.Ives Fresh Face. But since I started using this I swear I will never go back to that. As soon as I started using the moisturizer my skin improved so much. It helped with the extreme dryness and even the harsh redness my skin has. It absorbs in really fast into my skin and doesn't leave it feeling greasy at all. I honestly wish I had a before and after picture because this stuff rocks.

For the fresh foaming cleanser, its basically the same. I started it a week after, because I didn't have a cleanser and because the moisturizer worked so well I figured I would try another Neutrogena product. I love the feeling it gives as you use it, it makes your skin tingle without it burning. Which is a feeling I've had much experience with with my prior cleansers. My skin being as sensitive as is, it LOVES products like these.

I haven't found any downsides to either of these products with, but as mentioned I've only been using them for   about two weeks. If I find any I will be sure to add them to this post.

I have never felt my skin smile before and now it does, everyday :)

P.S,
I know the controversy about Neutrogena being cruelty free or not. As far as I know, they are. Its there partner company of Johnson&Johnson that is not.

Pretty Little Liars Inspired Tutorial for Aria Montgomery / Lucy Hale

Cause two can keep a secret... If one of them is dead....

I won't lie, Aria is my absolute favorite. I dont really know what it is, but I feel like we are similar in many ways. And I'm not just talking about the whole writing thing. Having to juggle family drama, being two people. Constantly coming up with ways to outstretch myself to help others. While always having my head over looking my shoulder. I'd say that's hollywood, but I'm in Canada. Lol.

Here is the first look of my Pretty Little Liars Series, this look is for Aria Montgomery. A girl who use to rock pink highlights and ripped tights.

Makeup Storage

So, originally I wanted to post a tutorial but the video disappeared so I did a quick video on my own makeup storage. Might not be the finest, but it works for me. Since I don't have a desk I have it on top of my long dresser. Below is the picture of the set up, above is the link to the video :)

A Girl with Many Faces

Growing up I wasn't really into makeup for myself but I always enjoyed putting it on other people. Since graduating high school I've grown to LOVE makeup and have decided to go into makeup artistry. So, I opened a youtube account to learn and teach myself some new techniques while practicing and recording makeup tutorials. Down below I will include some pictures of my favourite looks and keep tuned for my next post which will include a video link and pics.
